I guess I should do a real update; I haven’t done one in forever.
Overall, life’s not too bad. I’m not crazy about school. I have three bad teachers and one sorta-bad/mostly-irritating teacher this term, and I’ve just about decided that I’m done complaining about them. There’s nothing I can do about it, after all, so I might as well try to stay positive. And that’s another thing – I’ve been falling into pessimism again (although having just gotten through midterms, can I be blamed for that?) So I want to try to renew my more positive outlook. It’s just better that way.
Basically, school has just been keeping me busy. I have a ton of reading to do (most of which I’m not doing) and, as I mentioned, I just got through midterms. Well, almost through; I have a quiz this Thursday and a test Friday and I think that’s the last of it. I haven’t done anything for my correspondence course at all since I handed in Assignment 1 though, so I’ll have to crack down on that soon. However, since that course is super-interesting, I shouldn’t have any trouble getting through the readings and whatnot.
Other than that… I’ve just been hanging with friends when I can and then rping and gaming when I’m on my own. I’m almost done DragonQuest IV on the DS, and then I have a FF game that Nick lent me and Chrono Trigger after that. At this point, the DS is my prefered system. It’s sneakier, I think. I feel guilty when I go down to my PS2 and spend lots of time there. The DS I can just have on my lap on the bus or on the computer, and it’s like it doesn’t even happen… *shifty eyes* On the flipside, I really should beat some of the PS2 games that have been accumulating that I haven’t even started…
Anywho. Last weekend I basically just slacked off. I needed it, and it was wonderful. I did some reading for English and Psyc and that was it. Otherwise I watched Revenge of the Fallen and played SSB with Chad, then rped all Saturday, then went shopping Sunday (new clothes, yay! I now own hole-less jeans again. :3) Next weekend is Halloween… I dunno if I’ll be doing anything though. I am stoked for candy, however. :D
Looks like I’ll probably get to go to Vegas for Christmas. I am muy excited. I’m starting to get worried about the piggy-bank though…
Um… that’s all I can think of for now. Later!

I have become more pessimistic, as well. In my case, I think it is due to my recent migraines, and the declining weather. I will try to be more optimistic, too.
Yes! You’re right about portable gaming. Not only is it more concealed, as you mentioned, but many games allow you to save anywhere so you have the freedom to suspend play at any time. I am not sure about the DS, but the PSP will sleep at any moment and resume from exactly there, even months later (trust me, I have done it). In this sense, portable gaming does not feel like so much a burden.
And I promise that the next time you play me at SSB you will have a much harder time. Hehe. =3
