I’m not actually anti-Valentine’s, I just love this picture:

Anyone who has followed my blog for longer than a year knows I post it annually. It makes me happy. XD
Anyways. Interestingly enough, perhaps, I’m actually a bit anti-anti-Valentine’s. Some anti-Valentine’s Day things are funny, but overall it just doesn’t seem healthy. And as a customer at the store today pointed out, Valentine’s Day is as much about family as it is about couples. I bought V-day cards for my family this year, and made sure to wish my best friend a Happy Valentine’s Day. I also did a shout-out to everyone else on Facebook. I love my friends and family, and why not use Valentine’s Day (the “day of love”) to say so? But it seems like, according to society, as a single, I must hate Valentine’s, or spend it longing over someone (or sending candygrams… or something). But I’m just sort of indifferent to it. I like the excuse to eat chocolate and tell my friends and family how much they mean to me. Granted, I’m not big on the matrimaniacal hype and the abounding singlism, but get past that and all the pink is rather cheerful.
The only downside is that my fingers hurt from tying off balloons for people all day. XD
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

I’m also indifferent. My family also gave cards this year. I quite like the idea of spreading the love in general.
